1. How can I view the status of my order?

Log in to your account via the My Account button and you will be able to see your order history.  If you did not sign up for an account you will not be able to access your order information.

2. What are your shipping charges and freight charges?

Free shipping for all orders of $75 or more within the continental U.S. and Canada.  Shipping is $10 flat rate for orders less than $75.

3. You only ship Standard Ground?

Yes, our suppliers ship via either FedEx or UPS Standard Ground.  As our items are made of metal, they tend to be rather heavy and shipping costs can get astronomical once you launch these things into the air.

4. How long does it take to receive my order?

Most items from Delia are usually made to order and can take 2 - 3 weeks to arrive.  Smaller items may take less time while larger items such as tables and beds take 4 - 6 weeks.  Items from festa & co., Form & Reform and Prairie Dance usually ship within 2 - 3 days and arrive within a week.

5. What if I'm in a hurry?

6. How do I care for handmade metal items?

The steel pieces are either coated with a clear spray on laquer or are covered with a water based wax.  Both will prevent normal occurances of rust.  Though often thought synonomous with invincibility, steel is subject to a wide array of damage.  The most common is rust.  If rusting occurs do the following:  Remove the rust using an abrasive like green scrub pads commonly used for dishwashing.  Once existing rust is removed, a coating needs to be reapplied so that the moisture in the air does not come in contact with the steel causing further rusting.  We recommend a paste wax.  There are a lot of household waxes at your local hardware store.  The same wipe-on waxes for wood furniture will do the job.  Waxes can also help to hide minor scratches and discoloration but nothing can cure deep marks into the metal.  The works carried by InteriorMetalDesigns.com are handmade and the many variations in texture and color are to be seen as a sign of their uniqueness and one of a kind value.  Treat them well and they will last forever.
